Tables 1 and 2 show cross-border trade in services by type and by country for 1986-2000. The annual article on U.S. international services transactions, which covers both cross-border trade and sales through affiliates, will be published in the November issue of the SURVEY OF CURRENT BUSINESS. The change in schedule accommodates the incorporation of early tabulations of data on sales of services by foreign affiliates of U.S.

companies from the 1999 benchmark survey of U.S. direct investment abroad. All of the tables on cross-border trade in services that usually accompany the article are available now on BEA's Web site at <www.bea.doc.gov/usl.htm>.
