The Texas State Data Center, based at Texas A&M University, serves as an online hub for census information and population estimates regarding the Lone Star State. For example, Austin (see "Trend Central," facing page) and Bryan-College Station are tied for first place when it comes to educated Texans: 37 percent of residents in each metro hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Not sure where Bryan-College Station is located? Worry not; the site houses detailed county and historical diagrams.
