Ideas on top-line growth - Feedback - Brief Article
Chief Executive, The, August-Sept, 2003
In July, we asked our readers what steps they are taking to grow their companies 'top lines. Here is a sampling:
Our market (retail display manufacturing) is stuck in older manufacturing technologies. We've experienced growth via solutions-driven marketing, the introduction of new materials and the diversification of core capabilities into alternative markets.
We are expanding our global reach by merging with the largest pan-European company within our sector. By employing a merger strategy rather than a build strategy, we are able to take advantage of acceptable global business practices and new markets from Day One without undergoing a costly and exhaustive build-out phase.
We are finding that our customers are responding positively to more sales contact. We're striving to increase our presence in front of them, both face to face and over the phone.
