The Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy (www.academyhealth.org) provides a professional home and technical assistance resource for researchers and policy professionals. Cyber Seminars in Health Services Research

The new Cyber Seminars series launched in January continues in February. Learn research methods from health services research experts without leaving your home or office with our new web- and audio-based conferences. Two courses of the three-course series remain:

2002 Training Directory Now Available

The Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy is pleased to announce the release of the new and expanded 2002 Directory of Training Programs in Health Services and Health Policy Research. Expanded to include health policy research programs and the health policy tracks in public policy programs, as well as the core health services research programs included in our two earlier editions (1997 and 1992) the Directory is available in two formats: a print copy, and an online, searchable version, which is accessible at: http://www.academyhealth.org/directory. Additionally, when possible, we have included more descriptive information about the programs. The print version serves as a companion piece. The online version is continuously maintained. The print version is revised once every two years. The 2002 Annual Research Meeting of the Academy for Health Services Research and Health Policy will be held June 23-25 at the Washington, D.C. Hilton. The Academy Annual Research Meeting is the annual scientific conference for the fields of health services research and health policy. Bringing together approximately 2,000 researchers, policymakers, and providers, it is the leading professional event where professionals can hear about the latest health services research, engage in timely policy debates about the future of health care, learn new methodological skills, and network with colleagues.

An affiliate meeting of the Academy Annual Research Meeting, this meeting will be held on Saturday, June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the 2002 Annual Research Meeting site, the Hilton Washington. This year's sessions will be featured in four tracks, including Skill Building, Cutting-Edge Research, Cutting-Edge Policies, and for the first time, a call for panels. Also, the Second Annual HSC Foundation Award recognizing the scientific work of emerging scholars to the field of CHSR, particularly low-income urban children, will be presented during the luncheon.
