Resnick, Holtz chosen as IABC fellows

Communication World, May-June, 2005

Roberta (Bobbie) Resnick, ABC, APR, MC, and Shel Holtz, ABC, have been chosen to receive the highest honor bestowed by IABC to an individual member. The Fellow program acknowledges outstanding leadership, contribution to the profession and service to the association.

Known affectionately as "Bobbie" to her clients, colleagues and friends, Resnick's career spans five decades, during which time she has been a communicator, trailblazer, volunteer, award winner, consultant, entrepreneur, educator and mentor to hundreds of communicators.

During his 25 years in organizational communication, Shel Holtz has served as a leader in the field. In particular, he's translated his passion and vision for understanding and harnessing the power of technology to furthering the profession and educating communication professionals around the world.

The IABC Executive Board approved the recommendation of this year's Fellow Selection Committee at the recent Leadership Institute conference in Seattle, Washington. Resnick and Holtz become the 49th and 50th Fellows in IABC's 35-year history.
