IABC delivers new books on consulting, marketing and internal publications

Communication World, Sept-Oct, 2005

The IABC Knowledge Centre is offering three new resources for members. If you're thinking of going out on your own, or if you already have a consulting business, the second edition of The Successful Communication Consultant is a great resource. Corinne LaBossiere, ABC, APR, discusses the pros and cons of consulting and provides templates for getting started.

For those suddenly thrust into marketing or in need of a refresher course, look for Lin Grensing-Pophal's Marketing with the End in Mind. Grensing-Pophal, ABC, covers the Four Ps, how to implement a marketing plan, and the methodology of communication measurement.

In over your head with your company's internal publication?

Ron Shewchuk, ABC, MC, offers his insights into the writing and editing process for internal publications in Writing and Editing the Internal Publication. This handbook covers the approval process and the reasons printed internal publications are still relevant in this world of electronic communication.
