Note: Labour market data are subject to differences in definitions
across countries and to many series breaks, though the latter are often
of a minor nature. Labour force participation rates are not fully
comparable across countries mainly because of different definitions of
the working-age population. In most countries, the working-age
population is defined as all persons of the age of 16 to 64 years,
except for Sweden, where it is 15 to 64 years, New Zealand and Turkey,
where it is 15 years more, and the United States where it is 16 years of
age and more. For information about definitions, sources, data coverage,
break in series and rebasings, see OECD Economic Outlook Sources and
Methods (http://www.oecd.org/eco/ sources-and-methods).
