The Programs in Instructional Development and Technology seek applications for a tenure-track position. These programs are part of the School of Education which offers pre-service and in-service elementary and secondary teacher education programs at the baccalaureate and master's level.

Description: This tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level requires an individual who has extensive knowledge of (1) contemporary teaching and learning theories and strategies in instructional technology; (2) human performance technology; (3) programmatic issues in the field of instructional technology; (4) the body of research in instructional technology; (5) specialized resources available for the use of technology for training and managerial development. Candidates should possess formal preparation in human performance technology, instructional technology or instructional design. Candidates should also possess 3-5 years of experience working in business, industrial or military settings. College-level teaching experience is preferred. Duties include teaching courses such as: principles of human performance technology, needs assessment, program evaluation, instructional design, product development and project management; advising; college committees; and participation in scholarly activities. M ost courses will be offered off campus at a new facility at Fort Drum in Watertown, NY. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in an appropriate area from an accredited institution. 'ABD's' completing their programs before September will also be considered.
