Translators. The homepage at Refdesk.com gives quick, one-word translations from English into Spanish, German, Italian, and French. The site's complete dictionary has links to translators in most languages, including Hawaiian and even Australian slang.

PDFs, PDQ

Many white papers and government documents are published as PDF files. Now Adobe, creator of the Acrobat software that creates. PDFs, has instituted a service to help you find PDF documents on the Web. The site, an http://searchpdf.adbode.com, also offers a fun feature: Select the Surprise Me! option, and the search engine will present you with something random to read. One time, I got the news letter of the Lavonia, Michigan Amateur Radio Club.

Cash and Comfort

You're traveling on business, and you've run out of cash. You don't know the area you're in, and you're reluctant to wander the streets looking for an automatic teller machine. Never fear. Help is just a click away at www.mastercard.com/atm, Mastercard's online ATM locator. It will help you find the cash machine closest to your location in the United States, Canada, and major international cities.
