Bookmark Managers - organizing bookmarked Web sites - Brief Article
Training & Development, Sept, 2000 by Ryann K. Ellis
You've been surfing the Web for an hour, and now you have a huge list of bookmarks (or Favorites in Internet Explorer). The good news: You've found several Websites that have the information you want. The bad news: Searching through your list is as time-consuming as finding the Websites in the first place.
You can use the bookmark organizer that comes with your browser to get your list of favorite sites in order. But if you're like most surfers, you'd rather have a new software application that you can load to your computer, such as
* AcqURL
* Alert Bookmarks
* Backflip
* The Bookmark Portal
* Private Bookmarks.
The latest Web-based productivity applications work to create a personal map to the sites you use the most. And some of them are free!
The Software Roundup chart includes product features, cost, and contact information.
