DCT Industrial Trust Announces Strong Leasing Activity in Indianapolis

DENVER, July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DCT Industrial Trust Inc. , a leading industrial real estate investment trust, today announced that it has signed 1.3 million square feet of leases in Indianapolis.

Whirlpool Corporation has extended its full building 805,000 square foot lease for 36 months. The company uses the bulk distribution facility, which is located in the Plainfield submarket, to store and distribute replacement parts for its products.

In the same submarket, Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc., has renewed its 400,000 square foot lease for 10 years in a building owned by DCT Industrial Trust's institutional joint venture with Dividend Capital Total Realty Trust, TRT/DCT Venture II. Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc., which is a subsidiary of multinational conglomerate Compagnie de Saint-Gobain, is a full line technical leader in the abrasives industry.

Masco Support Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Masco Corporation that provides printing services to several Masco companies, has renewed its lease for 128,000 square feet in the East submarket. Consistent with Masco's previous leasing strategy, the lease term is 12 months and also includes a 3,700 square foot expansion.
