IDG'S Computerworld Names Antares Among Best Places to Work in Information Technology

PR Newswire,  July 2, 2008

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- IDG's Computerworld, the "Voice of IT Management," announced today that it has selected Antares Management Solutions as one of the top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals for the third year in a row.

This honor is part of the weekly IT publication's 15th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey, which was published in the June 30 issue of Computerworld and online at Computerworld.com .

"This is the third year in a row we have been so honored by Computerworld and this is very special to us because the input for this award came straight from our employees," said Ken Sidon, president of Antares Management Solutions. "I cannot think of any higher compliment a company can receive than from the people who work for it."

Since 1994, Computerworld's annual "Best Places to Work in IT" feature has ranked the top 100 work environments for technology professionals, based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. In addition, this year Computerworld surveyed more than 20,000 IT workers for the list and their responses factored heavily in determining the rankings.

The company was recognized for a new and more flexible telecommuting option that allows IT workers to perform their daily tasks from home utilizing a Virtual Private Network.

Antares was also cited for its well-designed employee benefits package that includes prescription drug coverage, flexible spending accounts and retirement plans. Other perks include employee assistance programs, on-site fitness centers or discounts on memberships to local health clubs, Weight Watchers programs, free health screenings and brown-bag lunch sessions that address topics such as stress management.

Antares also offers tuition assistance, certification reimbursement, on-site training, a computer boot camp, a project management program and computer-based training on subjects such as desktop applications and programming languages.

"Being among the Best Places to Work in IT means crafting a blend of employee advantages that includes the potential for flexible hours, competitive pay, excellent benefits, a supportive leadership environment, opportunities for ongoing training and advancement, and ultimately, the feeling that you'd like to stay with the company a long, long time," said Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld.
