TMX Group Returns to Minneapolis to Help Finance Local Companies

TMX Group and Canada offer financing opportunities for American micro to mid-cap companies

MINNEAPOLIS, June 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TMX Group Inc. (TSX:X), operator of Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange, will hold an information session today in Minneapolis at The Marquette Hotel.

The event will begin with the Keynote Luncheon at noon, featuring remarks from Rik Parkhill, Interim Co-CEO of TMX Group, who will address why over 135 US companies and 17 in 2007 chose Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture as listing destinations. The event will be emceed by Kevan Cowan, president of TSX Venture Exchange, and will host a presentation from Michael Salter, CFO of Medical Facilities Corporation, who will touch on his company's experience in going public on Toronto Stock Exchange. As a leader of a US-based company, he will speak on the reasons behind his decision to list on Toronto Stock Exchange and the consequent benefits.
