POWDERLY, Ky., May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- An announcement is to be made on Monday, May 12, 2008 by 15th District State Representative Brent Yonts at the Muhlenberg "One Stop" Retraining Center located in Powderly, Kentucky. This will be the formal announcement signaling the awarding of the $625,000 grant from a local government and the start of the engineering of two "Coal to Liquid" plants to be built in Western Kentucky by Kentucky Fuel Associates, Inc. and their strategic partner Fuel Frontiers, Inc.

Kentucky Fuel Associates president Garry Sparks has stated that in addition to producing a clean fuel that is environmentally friendly, plant operations will have ultra-low "Greenhouse Gas" emissions and self-generate its own power needs after start-up. At their fully developed capacity each of these facilities would consume 500,000 tons of Kentucky coal annually and employ approximately 200.
