Should you buy a computer?

New Mexico Business Journal, Feb, 2001

(October 1978)

"Some experts contend that any business with sales of $250,000 should seriously consider the installation of a small computer. Others argue the sales figure, saying that $500,000 or $1 million is more appropriate." The article goes on to list computer manufacturers from which to choose, including Basic Four, Burroughs, Data General, Datapoint, Digital, Honeywell, IBM, NCR and Wang. Prices started at about $20,000. Oh, yes, only IBM currently manufactures computers.
