As experts in the advertising field and television production, Lee Galles Advertising, Inc., formerly the New Competitive Edge, was established in 1974 and has 125 employees, 75 of them in New Mexico. The company has revenues of $50-100 million a year. H. Lee Galles is president and chief executive officer of the Albuquerque firm and Allen Leatherwood is executive vice president and chief financial officer. As The New Competitive Edge last year, the company also ranked eighth.

9. The Gardner Zemke Company

This Albuquerque-based electrical and mechanical contractor was established in 1965 and has 250 employees, 120 of them in New Mexico. The company has revenues between $50-100 million a year. F.R. Zemke, co-founder, is president and treasurer. The company ranked fifth last year.

10. Graves Oil & Butane Company Inc.

A wholesale and retailer of petroleum products, Graves Oil & Butane Co., of Farmington, has revenues of between $40-50 million a year with 90 employees, 89 of them in New Mexico. Theron Graves is chairman and chief executive officer with Doug Hallack as treasurer. The company ranked 12th last year.
