FOOD AND BEVERAGE CLOSE-UP-26 June 2008-washingtonpost.com Offers Discounts at Washington, D.C. Restaurants(C)2008 - CloseUpMedia - newsdesk@closeupmedia.com

washingtonpost.com announced that the Web site s "Deals and Discounts" will feature special coupons for over 30 restaurants in the Washington, D.C.-area.

The company said the offering expands the site s online coupons and introduces a new way for users to receive and redeem them: through a mobile device."

By adding restaurants, Deals and Discounts is becoming a robust online marketplace and a go-to source for hot local deals," said Henry Tam, Director of Product Development for washingtonpost.com. "We are really excited to bring users valuable deals that can be sent directly to them, when and where they want."

The discounts can be printed directly from the Web through washingtonpost.com s Food and Dining section, on the site s City Guide restaurant pages or in the Shopping section. Mobile tools allow users to grab the deals by texting coupon codes found online, in the newspaper or in Sunday s Washington Post Magazine. Users also have the ability to sign up for emails that bring the deals straight to their inboxes, as well as suggest ideas for future coupons that they would like to see on the site, the group noted in a release.
