Energy Softworx and Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) have entered into a software license agreement to utilize the company's fuels management software, Fuelworx, to manage fuel supply operations.
IPL provides retail electric service to about 465,000 commercial, industrial and residential customers in Indianapolis, as well as portions of other Central Indiana communities surrounding Marion County.

"The implementation of good fuels management and accounting software is essential for streamlining our business processes and capitalizing on best practices," said Dennis Dininger, IPL's director of Fuel Supply.
"After an intensive examination of the fuels management software solutions available in the marketplace, we selected Energy Softworx because we felt they offered the best of breed software solution from a functional and technical standpoint," Dininger said. "They had excellent customer references and their knowledge of the fuels management business was impressive."
Energy Softworx provides software solutions for organizations involved in the consumption, sales, and transportation of coal, oil, pet coke and natural gas. The company, established in 1992, has licensed products to over 30 leading energy providers in the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK.
