Convergence Ethanol Inc. has named Chuck Martin vice president and general manager of the company's Texas subsidiaries, Bott Equipment and Gulfgate Equipment.
Martin, who has 18 years of experience in the domestic and international pump and equipment industry, and will report to Dr. James A. Latty, president and CEO of Convergence Ethanol.

"Chuck's arrival has immediately brought new vision to our company," Latty said. "His reputation as an experienced and effective manager in the pump and equipment industry precedes him, as does the corresponding increase in sales that has been the consistent trademark of his career."
Martin was both Mid-Western regional manager and Latin American sales manager at Roper Pumps, where he increased sales by 30% in his first year and was recognized as Regional Manager of the Year. As Southwestern Regional Manager at Netzsch Pumps, he initiated training and increased yearly sales by $1.2 million. His diverse experience in the pump and equipment industry also includes plant commissioning, distribution, manufacturer sales, and entrepreneurial ownership of a parts company.
"I am most excited about joining Convergence Ethanol for the simple fact that the company is at the heart of the most important movement in the energy sector in many years: biorenewable fuels," said Martin.
Bott Equipment is a distributor of liquid-handling equipment, including pumps, meters, valves and filters. Gulfgate Equipment provides engineering, manufacture, sale and rental of liquid purification systems. For over 40 years, Gulfgate has served customers worldwide in industrial markets including: petrochemical plants, refineries, pulp and paper mills, paint and chemical manufacturers, steel mills, electrical utilities, engineering contractors, municipalities and U.S. government agencies.
California-based Convergence Ethanol, the parent company, is a biorenewable energy project developer and an ISO 9001:2000-certified provider of engineered products and systems to the energy industry. The company's mission is to support the energy industry's cost-effective production of cleaner-burning fuels.
