Bonnie Black

Bonnie Black, APRN, BC, is Vanderbilt University Medical Center's 2007 recipient of the Vivien Thomas Award for Excellence in Clinical Research, which includes a crystal trophy and a $1,000 check presented by VUMC's Office of Research. Black has been a research nurse specialist III in Vanderbilt's Autonomic Dysfunction Center since 1994. During this time, she has coordinated the research of seven principal investigators and co-authored 28 publications, including one in the New England Journal of Medicine. Her group studies disorders related to the regulation of heart rate and blood pressure.
