Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedRoster Update to Be Published on CD-ROM
Tax Executive, The, Nov, 1999
In February, all TEI members will receive an updated copy of the Institute's Membership Roster on CD-ROM. The new digital product will replace the printed Roster Update previously distributed half-way through the membership year. Currently, there are no plans to suspend the print publication of the Membership Roster in September of each year, though that product will likely be accompanied by an updated Roster CD.
According to Mike Murphy, TEI's Executive Director, the dynamic nature of TEI's membership (the records of more than 1,500 members have been changed since the Roster went to press in July), plus the Institute's commitment to harnessing technology for the members' benefit prompted the decision to publish the Roster CD. "A primary goal of TEI's current technology initiative is to move toward an `on-line roster,' so that members can have easy access to up-to-date information about all TEI members."

The Roster CD will contain a listing of all members, not merely those whose records have changed (as was the case with the printed Roster Update). In addition, the CD will include listings of the Institute's Board of Directors and committees. Members will be able to search by member name, company, chapter, and industry.
