Phase I/II Clinical Trial Results Of New Cancer Drug, Beta-Alethine (Beta LT(TM)), Presented At International Society Of Hematology (Toronto)

LifeTime Pharmaceuticals ("LifeTime") announced today that results of a Phase I/II clinical trial for Beta-alethine (Beta LT), a new drug designed to stimulate the immune system, will be presented today at the International Society of Hematology (ISH) in Toronto. This is the first international oral presentation on the compound.
Floyd Taub, M.D., LifeTime's Chairman, will be presenting at the Toronto Metro Convention Center at 3:30 PM Central Standard Time (CST).

Dr. Taub's presentation will describe the beta- alethine molecule (beta-alanyl cysteamine disulfide) and its development including pre- clinical data on human cells in culture in vitro and data from over 12 animal models. He will focus on data from the first human trial at McGill University (Jewish General Hospital) in Montreal, Canada indicating that Beta LT(TM) enhances the immune system and can have anti-cancer effects, while showing minimal toxicity, if any.
