Business Engine Ranked Among Leaders in IT Portfolio Management
Market Wire, July, 2004
Business Engine, a leader in IT Business Management and collaborative project portfolio management (PPM) applications, announced that AMR Research has bestowed a prominent and leading ranking to the company in a study entitled: "IT Portfolio Management Software: Clear Benefits, Converging Marketplace," dated June 2004.
According to the study, and its authors AMR Research analysts Dennis Gaughan and Carline Durocher, "Business Engine was the vendor that best demonstrated scalability for IT, with one reference deployed to over 13,000 users across North America and Europe." Additionally, the report noted that Business Engine's flagship product, "the Business Engine Network (BEN), scored well specifically in its budgeting and resource planning capability."
AMR Research conducted the study by evaluating 14 vendors providing portfolio management software for IT organizations. The study evaluated vendors along two axes -- Product Attributes and Company Attributes. The former focused on functionality, technology, references, and internationalization; the latter assessed business strategy, financial strength, customer practices, and international capabilities.
"We're pleased that AMR Research has validated and recognized Business Engine's position as a leader in this growing market space," noted Doug Dickey, CEO and President of Business Engine. "Corporate IT groups need a technically strong and scalable solution to optimize their IT portfolio of investments and continually align IT with business strategy. Business Engine's proven strength and focus on running the business of IT meets exactly that need."
