Market Wire, August, 2004
Altova® (www.altova.com) producers of Altova XMLSPY®, the world's leading XML development environment, today announced availability of its XMLSPY Certification Exam. The expert-level, 50 question exam tests both an individual's knowledge of important XML-related specifications as well as proficiency with XMLSPY 2004. Successful participants will become Altova Certified XMLSPY Engineers (ACXE), communicating a level of knowledge and practical expertise that will inspire confidence and can serve as a key differentiator for IT professionals.
As XML (eXtensible Mark-up Language) becomes more pervasive, practical use and certified expertise with the standard is becoming increasingly important for engineers and organizations as a whole. The Altova XMLSPY Certification Exam has been created for information architects and enterprise developers that possess a solid working knowledge of XML standards and XMLSPY 2004. The certification exam tests a candidate's knowledge of XML, XML Schema, XSLT, XPath, WSDL, and SOAP, as well as proficiency in using XMLSPY 2004 to create standards-compliant XML documents, schemas, and stylesheets.
"With the rapid growth of XML-related technologies, it's critical that companies utilize the most skilled professionals to implement their XML development strategies," said David Kershaw, Manager of Professional and Educational Services for Altova. "Our goal is to ensure that Altova-certified engineers have the expertise to integrate their technical knowledge with real-world development skills. Altova customers will benefit greatly by including an ACXE on their deployment team."
The Altova XMLSPY Certification Exam is delivered in a proctored environment and is available at hundreds of United States and Canadian testing facilities managed by Thomson Prometric, the global leader in technology-enabled knowledge testing and assessment services.
