Geosign and Experian Enter Into Marketing Agreement
Market Wire, August, 2004
Geosign Corporation (www.geosign.com) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Experian to launch and market the new National URL Database. The National URL Database is the first product to isolate and provide a comprehensive list of all web active businesses in the United States. The National URL Database currently has over two million records and is updated quarterly.
The National URL Database (www.geosign.com/products.asp#national) now allows firms to target specific businesses that have websites, which greatly improves marketing campaign conversion rates. The National URL Database also provides several attributes available for licensing such as 'growth cycle,' shopping cart, security, and online advertising. Uses of the National URL Database include businesses wishing to support their outside sales forces by providing web-mined data to help size market opportunities, identify, target and validate prospects, and improve sales strategies. Visiting a company's web site to better understand their business prior to making a sales call affords better message targeting.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with Experian," Tim Nye, CEO of Geosign comments. "Experian has valuable demographic data on US businesses and by combining this with our National URL database, represents an excellent offering for anyone who sees the Internet as an important area for sales, marketing, or analysis. We are extremely excited about the opportunity that this combination of data provides to the marketplace."
Richard Quintana, vice president of Experian Business Information Solutions, adds, "The National URL Database partnership with Geosign allows us to strengthen our service offering to our clients in this rapidly growing online market segment."
