Genesys Customers, Partners and HR Industry Leaders Confirm Human Capital Management Conference an Educational Experience
Market Wire, September, 2004
Genesys, a provider of outsourcing services and software for human resources (HR) management, payroll, benefits administration and payments, self-service, learning, and performance management, recently welcomed nearly 150 customers, industry thought leaders, partners, business professionals and staff to its annual Human Capital Management Conference, September 19-21, 2004, at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers in Boston. The event proved to be a rich opportunity for attendees to review and debate key issues in HR, payroll and benefits management and technology, and build new and expanded relationships.
To kick off the event, Genesys Vice President of Marketing, Arlene Hammel delivered a formal greeting and introduced the broad educational agenda, which featured more than 40 sessions all tied to the overall event theme, "leading the way through innovation and transformation" and focused on strategies, best practices, tools and processes to address today's HCM challenges. Genesys President, Larry Munini followed with a recap of the company's history of innovation in the human capital management marketplace and shared his vision for 2005.
Pre-conference workshops and sessions covered a comprehensive range of topics including HR metrics, performance management, training and development, recruitment and retention, background verification, compensation, benefits, the latest legislation affecting HR interests, payroll practices, outsourcing, data integrity, work/life, and more. Several of the presentations were delivered by Genesys customers including: Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina, Xwave and more. Additionally, the conference provided informative sessions on Genesys solutions, roundtable discussions and presentations from industry thought leaders.
Genesys Vice President, Business Development, David Ladner, delivered a compelling presentation that detailed Genesys solutions and industry trends. The popular session entitled "The Total Cost of Ownership for Your Payroll Production" helped attendees to understand the hidden costs that drive up the expense of payroll processing and provided best practice solutions for cost savings.
As part of the conference, there was also an exhibit hall where attendees learned about the valuable resources available to improve the effectiveness of their organizations. And an "Ask the Experts" forum provided Genesys clients with access to private, half-hour consulting sessions on-site where they were able to ask business and IT-related questions.
"I would highly recommend the Genesys Human Capital Management Conference to my colleagues," said Tom Tripp, manager of Payroll and Timekeeping Systems for Delta Dental. "The sessions provided valuable insight into what other professionals are doing to manage their human capital and deliver bottom-line results as well as an opportunity to learn from one another."
Munini commented, "Creating a meaningful conference was the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication on the part of our employees and partners and also customers who delivered outstanding sessions illustrating their own human capital transformation experiences. We thank them for their contributions and look forward to their participation in next year's conference where valuable feedback will help shape the agenda."
