Stock Market Alerts for Wednesday! October 6, 2004
Market Wire, October, 2004
Wall Street News Alert's "stocks to watch" this morning are: PlayStar Inc. (OTC: PLYCF), Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT), Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUNW) and Nortel Networks Corporation (NYSE: NT).
Aggressive investors and traders will want to watch PlayStar Inc. (OTC: PLYCF) this morning! Yesterday after the markets closed, the company issued a press release announcing that its subsidiary, VLOAN Inc. and their strategic partner Alternative Mortgage Funding Corporation are moving full speed ahead in their quest to revolutionize the mortgage industry!
This could be more good news for investors! President Sean Conti stated, "September proved our strategy was ahead of projections and our offer was compelling to the marketplace."
Playstar is now targeting a marketing program in all 14 states that will comprise of Radio, Newspaper, Direct Mail, and Telephone initiatives to attract new VLOs. To date, the meteoric sales of new agents have transpired using only a small sampling of calls only to real estate agents.
V Loan's competitive edge is not just technological. V Loan through Alternative is able to qualify the vast majority of the non-conforming loans that make up 46% of the USA marketplace that traditional lenders don't target. V Loan via Alternative is focused on making non-conforming loans a good value for the consumer while maintaining their margins. This allows them to serve the non-conforming and sub-prime markets (where more than 80% of all lenders fear to tread).
With the new marketing initiative under way, V Loan anticipates hitting its first 1000 agents in the next 60 days.
Investors will want to watch this one! It was just last week that we reported on a press release that was issued saying that the company has already surpassed its September sign-up goal and signed 150 new Virtual Loan Officers (VLOs) to work as employees with Alternative Mortgage Financing Corporation (AMFC)!
The stock closed yesterday at around Fifty-One cents a share.
In case you are not familiar with the company: Headquartered in Melbourne Beach, Florida, VLOAN is revolutionizing the way people obtain mortgages by marrying proprietary technology and network marketing. It's a great way for consumers to get their mortgage from someone they know and trust and a great way for entrepreneurs to earn thousands of dollars in extra income from a $210 billion per year industry.
Stocks showing interesting activity yesterday at the close of the regular trading day were: Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) up 0.9% on 56.1 million shares traded, Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ: SUNW) up 0.9% on 35.9 million shares traded and Nortel Networks Corporation (NYSE: NT) down 1.1% on 20.8 million shares traded.
Commentary:
"Oil prices leaped above $51 a barrel on Tuesday as a prolonged U.S. production outage following Hurricane Ivan attracted fresh speculative buying. U.S. light crude set a new high of $51.29 a barrel, later easing to settle at $51.09, a gain of $1.18 on the day," stated Mario Cardenas in Wall Street News Alert's daily commentary continued at: http://www.WallStreetNewsAlert.com.
