Eyeblaster Introduces Advanced Features for Creating Targeted Rich Media
Market Wire, October, 2004
Eyeblaster, the leader in rich media advertising content and delivery, today announced the addition of new features to their Rich Media Platform dedicated to building a more personalized and relevant rich media advertising experience. Additionally, the company has also introduced a new Push Down banner format and more enhancements to smooth the delivery of video across all advertising formats.
"Our new features enable advertisers to establish a two-way dialog with their audience and deliver more personalized content based on how they interact with their ads," said Gal Trifon, CEO, Eyeblaster. "Building a richer brand experience doesn't just mean higher resolution graphics or more Flash tricks. It is being able to 'listen' to what your audience wants, and delivering a specific experience based on that information."
Advanced Creative Features
With the introduction of v5.7, Eyeblaster has added Behavioral Based advertising tools that enhance the functionality of all of their rich media ad formats. Behavioral Based rich media "remembers" how a user interacts with an ad, and can then deliver different content upon subsequent exposure to the ad. Ideal for increasing direct response, Eyeblaster's Behavioral ads identify what actions a user took, and follow-up by delivering targeted content to them, such unique promotions, increased incentives, or sequenced messages.
Eyeblaster has integrated support for displaying Dynamic Data within all ad formats as well, enabling advertisers to incorporate real-time information directly into their advertising content. With Eyeblaster's Dynamic Data tools, it is easier than ever to keep ad content fresh, with current prices, promotions, headlines, weather conditions and more. Advertisers can feed data from their own servers or can be manually entered within the Eyeblaster interface.
To simplify the implementation of more advanced features, Eyeblaster has introduced a Flash Components Library, featuring drag-and-drop tools to ease the burden of Flash and Actionscript coding for creative designers. The Dynamic Data Manager and Flash State Manager ensure quick and easy set-up of complex capabilities so designers can focus on expanding their creativity, instead of the syntax of their code.
In addition, Eyeblaster has introduced a turn-key User Polling feature, which enables advertisers to ask multiple questions within a creative unit and display real-time results back to the user within the ad. Incorporating User Polling into ads increases a user's interaction and exposure to the brand, and allows an advertiser to gather more information about their audiences' tastes and preferences. Polling is ideal for determining product preferences, how users perceive your brand, or just for fun! Eyeblaster can also display multiple levels of results based on audience segmentation when multiple questions are asked.
Combining multiple advanced features extends the creative capabilities across Eyeblaster's entire roster of rich media formats, giving advertisers the power and functionality they need to achieve their campaign objectives. For example, an advertiser can offer unique direct response incentives by combining Behavioral Ads with User Polling.
New Rich Media Format: The Push Down Banner
Eyeblaster has also introduced a powerful new format to its family of in-banner ads. The Push Down Banner, like the popular Expandable banner, enables advertisers to extend the geography of an in-banner ad unit to offer additional content. As its name implies, the new Push Down Banner slides content down the page rather than covering it up, providing a better user experience.
Adding creative flexibility, the Push Down Banner supports auto-expansion, proving a significantly larger ad unit when a user arrives at a page, which traditional provides higher response rates than smaller geography units. Similarly, the Push Down Banner can use auto-expansion to create an attention grabbing banner unit upon arrival, without hiding any publisher content. Auto-expansion allows for the banner to collapse completely, leaving no banner unit at all or be combined with transparent traditional expanded panels to create a "floating reminder" effect.
Video: Now More Than Ever!
Eyeblaster continues to extend its offerings for incorporating video into rich media advertising content. Meeting the growing demand for longer duration video content, Eyeblaster has added support for True Streaming utilizing Flash Communication Server in addition to its powerful SmartStreaming solution. Eyeblaster will host all video content on both standard web servers for SmartStream progressive download and on a Flash Communication Server for True Streaming.
Eyeblaster introduced new enhancements to its in-stream advertising format, the VideoClip Module, as well. The VideoClip Module now supports video content in Real Video in addition to Windows Media Video and Flash Video, with true streaming from a publisher's streaming server in all three formats. For publishers who already have content encoded in Real Video, this added support makes it easier than ever to incorporate the VideoClip Module into their streaming infrastructure.
