Multimedia Live Changes Its Name to MarketLive, Inc.
Market Wire, November, 2004
Multimedia Live (MML) (http://www.marketlive.com), the leading developer of e-commerce technology and services for Intelligent Selling® on the Web, has announced that it has changed its name to MarketLive, Inc. The new name comes from the Company's leading e-commerce application, the MarketLive® Intelligent Selling® System. The name change is a strategic move to emphasize the Company's focus on creating leading-edge e-commerce technology that supports the entire online marketing and merchandising lifecycle.
Ken Burke founded Multimedia Live in 1995 to provide highly effective e-commerce solutions to the rapidly expanding online selling industry. Realizing that the standard e-commerce technology available at the time would not support the advanced online merchandising his clients needed, Burke initiated a long period of software development that led to the launch of the first MarketLive product in 2000. MarketLive is an enterprise-class, Java(TM)-based e-commerce application that provides the most effective and advanced online merchandising capabilities for retailers, catalogers, and brand manufacturers. Over the years, the MarketLive name has become synonymous with next-generation thinking and industry leadership. Upcoming developments are expected to enhance this reputation. Today, more than 150 highly successful websites rely upon MarketLive, Inc. and its technology to power their e-commerce sales channels.
"Adopting the name of the MarketLive product comes at a pivotal strategic moment," said Burke, the President and CEO of MarketLive, Inc. "We are poised for significant growth as we capitalize on our e-commerce expertise and the power and reputation of the MarketLive application. Since so many of our clients and others in the industry identify us with our MarketLive product, it makes sense to reinforce this as we move forward and plan the next steps in the evolution of e-commerce."
