Strawberry Shortcake Jams Again! New CD -- "Seaberry Beach Party Music" -- in Stores Jan. 25th
Market Wire, November, 2004
KOCH Records (KOCH), in partnership with DIC Entertainment and American Greetings, continues to celebrate the enormously successful re-launch of the Strawberry Shortcake brand with the January 25th, 2005 release of her second full-length CD, "Seaberry Beach Party Music." This new release is a follow-up to Strawberry Shortcake's beloved debut CD, "Strawberry Jams," a Top 10 title on Billboard's Children's Music Chart upon its release in February 2004.
"Seaberry Beach Party Music" compiles the soundtracks from recent and upcoming releases of Fox Home Entertainment's enormously popular Strawberry Shortcake series of DVDs and videos.
The new CD includes 17 upbeat music tracks, a colorful 24-page booklet complete with all the lyrics and a special enhanced-CD program featuring two Strawberry Shortcake music videos, video previews of Bandai's new line of Strawberry Shortcake toys and special Internet links. The suggested retail list price is $9.98.
Strawberry Shortcake's "Seaberry Beach Party Music" offers children valuable lessons and positive messages, while at the same time, encouraging plenty of singing and dancing.
In its re-launch year (2003), the Strawberry Shortcake brand has generated $210 million dollars at retail across all categories and anticipates reaching $500 million in 2004, positioning the licensed character as one of the hot properties for the holiday season. Strawberry Shortcake's U.S. rollout was backed by a major marketing and promotional campaign, including a multi-million dollar advertising campaign; major retail promotions; major market mall tours; an exclusive interactive website, www.strawberryshortcake.com, with more than 150 million hits to date and over 200,000 members in the Friendship Club; and a national PSA campaign airing on more than 450 stations nationwide on DIC Kid's Network.
