Right Hemisphere(R) Forms Government Advisory Board of Distinguished Former Military Leaders
Market Wire, December, 2004
I/ITSEC -- Right Hemisphere, a leading provider of enterprise software for intelligent 3D publishing solutions, today announced it has formed a Government Advisory Board. Comprised of former military flag officers from the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Army, and Marine Corps, the Right Hemisphere Government Advisory Board is tasked with providing strategic and technical guidance to Right Hemisphere on military defense industry needs. The board will help Right Hemisphere determine customer requirements and navigate defense industry budgetary, procurement, and regulatory processes.
"We receive much of our information today about defense industry pain points from partners and customers like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Sikorsky," said Michael Lynch, CEO of Right Hemisphere. "While this has served us well, our Government Advisory Board's vast cumulative experience in the defense industry is invaluable. We look forward to tapping this knowledge base as we grow our software portfolio to meet the changing needs and processes of the defense and manufacturing communities."
The Right Hemisphere Government Advisory Board will be directed by the company's CEO, Michael Lynch. The board is comprised of the following military experts:
General William W. Crouch's career spans 36 years during which he commanded a platoon, several companies -- two of which were in combat -- an armored cavalry squadron, the 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment and the 5th Infantry Division. Before his retirement, he was the U.S. Army's Vice Chief of Staff. Since retiring, Crouch serves as one of the five generals who oversee the Army's Battle Command Training Program (BCTP). He is also a Senior Fellow with the National War College Capstone Program where he trains newly appointed brigadier generals and rear admirals. Crouch is also associated with the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA.
General Richard D. Hearney retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1996 as Assistant Commandant. During his career, he held command positions at the squadron, air group, and air wing level. During Desert Shield and Desert Storm, he served as Deputy Commander, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force. He also held numerous senior staff assignments, including Deputy Chief of Staff for Requirements, Programs, and Aviation. After retirement, Hearney served as president and chief executive officer of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), a national, nonpartisan organization of business leaders. He later founded RDM Strategies to help innovative companies apply their technologies to protecting the U.S. homeland.
Lieutenant General Leslie F. Kenne was the Deputy Chief of Staff for Warfighting Integration with the U.S. Air Force. She was responsible for forming and executing policy and strategy to integrate command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities for more effective employment of air and space power in support of national objectives. Kenne entered the Air Force in 1971 as a flight line maintenance officer and attended the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School. She has held other Pentagon staff positions and been the recipient of many honors.
Vice Admiral George R. Sterner retired from the U.S. Navy after 36 years of service. His sea assignments included tours on six different submarines, two of which he commanded. Sterner held a variety of shore assignments during his military career, including program manager of the submarine torpedo program and Program Executive Officer for submarine tactical systems. His final tour was as Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command. After retirement, Admiral Sterner joined Walt Disney Imagineering as Vice President for System Integration with the Cruise Line Development Team. Admiral Sterner joined Raytheon Company as Naval Mission Area Executive in 1999.
The new board of advisors will counsel Right Hemisphere on the current and anticipated product requirements of the Department of Defense, other government organizations, and the civilian contractors that serve them.
