TRADOS Appoints Kel Commins as New VP Worldwide Professional Services
Market Wire, January, 2005
TRADOS Inc., the world leader in globalization solutions, today announced strengthening its leadership team with Kel Commins as its new vice president of worldwide professional services. With an extensive background in professional services as well as with enterprise software companies, Commins will help drive the adoption of globalization in business as a competitive advantage.
"We are happy to have Kel on board, given that his entire career is dedicated to professional services," said Joe Campbell, president and chief executive officer of TRADOS. "His track record of growing revenue, gross margins and teams is impressive. But more importantly, Kel will be valuable in helping our customers leverage globalization as a strategic process and achieve greater successes with our solutions."
With over 12 years of directly relevant experience, Commins started his career at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture, leading major engagements with clients such as Cadence Design Systems and Aerospace Corporation. He later became senior director of worldwide professional services at CrossWorlds Software, later acquired by IBM. More recently, Commins was senior vice president at SAQQARA Systems, a product content management company, where he was responsible for professional services and engineering, as well as vice president of operations at Privia.
Commins also brings deep experience in content management workflow -- an important area that is increasingly converging with globalization -- as well as across industries, including technology, government, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, consumer goods and more. His previous work in bringing complete solutions to market will now carry over to delivering full globalization solutions to TRADOS customers.
Commins explained, "It's an exciting time to be in this industry, because globalization is now a top priority for multinational businesses. TRADOS has a tremendous opportunity to use its market influence to help customers think about and execute globalization as a true competitive advantage. I look forward to helping the company continue its reputation as a solutions leader setting the standard for others to follow."
