Advertising.com Further Strengthens Email Marketing Programs
Market Wire, January, 2005
UnsubCentral, the industry leader in email list suppression management solutions, today announced a strategic alliance with Advertising.com, Inc., a leading provider of performance-based interactive marketing services. Under the terms of the agreement, Advertising.com has integrated UnsubCentral Affiliate Manager(TM), a bonded email suppression and customer preference management solution, into its affiliate network to help its advertisers and affiliates achieve CAN-SPAM compliance.
The most significant roadblock of CAN-SPAM compliance is managing the exchange of email suppression list data between advertisers and third-party mailers. The challenges increase tremendously for advertisers using affiliate channels to automatically exchange suppression data with publishers and list vendors in a secure manner. UnsubCentral Affiliate Manager breaks through these barriers by providing a method of exchanging email suppression list data within the same interface that advertisers and affiliates use to exchange promotional content and track ad results.
"Partnering with UnsubCentral further strengthens the integrity and legitimacy of our email marketing platform," said Scott Ferber, chief executive officer of Advertising.com. "By automating the list suppression process, the UnsubCentral solution ensures both our affiliates and our advertisers are communicating only with those users who have consented to receive mailings."
"The partnership is a win-win situation for advertisers, affiliates and consumers," said Joshua Baer, CEO of UnsubCentral. "Advertisers get an integrated solution that automates email suppression and gives them better insight into affiliates' activities; affiliates get a trusted, third-party method for working with advertisers' suppression lists; and consumers get peace of mind knowing that opt-out requests will be managed with the most effective solution."
