Gateway EDI Enters Workers' Compensation Market Through Strategic Relationship With P2P Link
Market Wire, January, 2005
Gateway EDI, one of the nation's fastest growing health care EDI providers, today announces a new electronic filing capability for workers' compensation claims.
"Work flow management is crucial for medical office billing managers, especially when there are multiple claim types involved," states Gateway EDI's CIO David Cheli. "Gateway EDI's new electronic workers' compensation claims submission offering, which includes transmission of data such as chart and physical therapy notes, streamlines the work flow process in a new efficient way," he says.
Gateway EDI will be collaborating with P2P Link LLC, a Farmington, Connecticut-based company with an expertise in workers' compensation claims.
Like the electronic claims transmission of health claims, submitting workers' compensation claims electronically will improve efficiency and reduce costs. Other benefits include significantly improved payment cycle times and reduction in the repeat handling of bills due to errors, incomplete information, or missing attachments.
"We look forward to rapidly expanding our provider base through our strategic relationship with Gateway EDI," explains Bob Zeccardi, Vice President of Provider and Payer Relations, P2P Link. "Ease of use is a key issue for our provider customers and the ability to 'turn-on' workers' compensation bill submission is dramatically easier through Gateway EDI."
