Travelzoo Web Site Traffic Up 176% in January

Market Wire, February, 2005

Travelzoo Inc. (NASDAQ: TZOO), the Internet's largest publisher of outstanding travel offers available directly from hundreds of travel companies, today announced that its monthly Web site traffic was more than 21 million page views in January 2005, a 176 percent increase versus the same period last year.

"This significant growth can be attributed to three key factors," noted Kelly Ford, Vice President of Marketing at Travelzoo. "First, as consumers increase their use of the Internet for researching and booking travel, they increasingly rely on Travelzoo's expertise to help them find the best travel deals. Second, Travelzoo's growing subscriber base of more than 8 million provides a continual and loyal source of Web site traffic. Finally, Travelzoo's newest product, SuperSearch, has driven Web site usage."

Consumers looking for travel deals drove January traffic to an all-time record for more than a dozen of Travelzoo's Web site categories across all travel segments. Among the categories receiving particularly high consumer interest and traffic were: Domestic Airfare, Caribbean Cruises, Las Vegas Hotels, European Vacations, Resorts & Spas, and Ski Vacations.

Travelzoo's homepage received an average of 115,000 visits per day in January. Travelzoo's traffic data is compiled from internal measurement systems.
