Stentor to Provide University of Chicago Hospitals With iSite Picture Archive and Communications System (PACS)

Stentor, a leader in the distribution, management and storage of digital medical images, today announced the University of Chicago Hospitals have signed a multi-year agreement to implement Stentor's iSite® PACS for on-demand delivery, management and storage of diagnostic-quality images across the hospital network.

All facilities in the University of Chicago Hospitals integrated network will have enterprise-wide image access and always-online long-term storage. The organization will also integrate EPIC Systems' electronic medical record (EMR) software with iSite PACS.

iSite PACS is a digital medical image and information management system that provides enterprise-wide, diagnostic-quality images and relevant information, advanced radiology workstations, and always-online storage. Stentor has partnered with other technology providers to bring increased functionality to its technology platform, such as image-enabled EMRs, computer-based physician order entry (CPOE), 3-D imaging and speech recognition.
