Koch Records & eMusic Team Up for Exclusive Audio-Only 6-Track Beth Hart "Live At Paradiso" Digital EP
Market Wire, February, 2005
In a marketing first, KOCH Records in conjunction with eMusic is proud to announce the release of a new live 6-track digital audio-exclusive from Beth Hart titled "Live At Paradiso" EP. The EP will be available only through eMusic (the world's No. 2 download service selling nearly two million downloads monthly) beginning Tuesday, February 15th and accessible at www.emusic.com/bethhart.
The "Live At Paradiso" EP will be comprised of the following songs:
1. "Hiding Under Water" (previously unreleased) 2. "Delicious Surprise" 3. "Monkey Back" 4. "Am I The One" 5. "L.A. Song" 6. "Whole Lotta Love" (Led Zeppelin cover)
The release of Beth Hart's exclusive Live Digital EP will be followed on March 8, 2005 by the release of "Live At Paradiso," a new incendiary live concert film DVD. The tracks featured on the exclusive eMusic Digital EP were taken from this show and re-mastered for optimum sound. The EP will not be available off-line. This is the first in a line of these exclusives to be forged by the KOCH Records/eMusic partnership.
The DVD was Directed by famed European concert director Mirko Cocco (Destiny's Child, Cypress Hill, Live) and mixed in brilliant 5.1 surround sound. More than anything, "Live At Paradiso" is an incredible concert film that finally captures what hardcore Hart fans have known all along -- she's one in a million. The DVD clocks in at 110+ minutes and was shot/recorded in May of 2004.
Speaking about the EP and the forthcoming DVD Beth says, "I'm all about live. The live show is always better than the recorded music. What I love the most about this DVD is that it showcases all of what this new album project is about. It shows the hard side, the soft side, the cockiness, the honesty...it's very, very open. And that's what makes it work for anybody...whether they're old friends or new fans. This DVD and Digital EP both really capture the colors of all 3 of my albums."
The DVD also features some great bonus features including a new intimate 35-minute behind-the-scenes view of Beth's stay in Amsterdam leading up to the concert, and solo piano performances of "Sky Full of Clover," "World Without You," "Leave the Light On," "Lifetime" and more. Also included are extensive new interviews, a live version of Humble Pie's "I Don't Need No Doctor," and photo montages.
Billboard calls Beth Hart, "The stuff of icons." Rolling Stone says, "Beth channels the spirit of Janis Joplin." "Live At Paradiso" finally makes good on both these promises.
