Eva Frolich Elected Board Chair of the Public Interest Registry

The Public Interest Registry (PIR) Board of Directors recently announced the election of Eva Frolich as Chair of the Board. Ms. Frolich was originally selected to the PIR Board for a 1-year term in October of 2003 by the Internet Society and reappointed to a three-year term in November of 2004.
"Since being appointed to the PIR Board, Eva has been instrumental in many of our international initiatives," said Edward G. Viltz, President and CEO of PIR. "Her commitment to .ORG has assisted us in successfully meeting initial expansion objectives in the European community. Eva has been very active and supportive as a Board Member. I am excited about her selection as Board Chair and look forward to Eva's continued support."

Eva has more than 20 years of experience in the Telecommunications and Internet industries. She has a broad depth of experience in international forums including the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and the Council of European National Top-Level Domain Registries (CENTR). In addition, Eva sits on the ICANN ccNSO Council.
PIR also announced the re-election of Geoff Huston as Treasurer and the election of Barbara Fraser as Board Secretary.
