Advanced Cluster Computing Consortium Dell, Intel, And Microsoft To Present High Performance Cluster Computing Technology Roadmaps

Dell Computer Corporation, Intel Corporation, and Microsoft Corporation will convene at Cornell University on June 2 to present technology roadmaps for the future of high performance computing clusters running Windows 2000. This one-day seminar will be hosted by the Advanced Cluster Computing Consortium (AC3) of the Cornell Theory Center. The mission of the AC3 is to plan, implement, and maximize the performance and reliability of high-volume, industry-standard clusters, software, and tools.

Lab leaders from Dell Computer's Cluster Development Laboratory, Intel'sEnterprise Server Group, and Microsoft Research will discuss current andfuture product plans. Cornell University and other national labs will present information on benchmarks, scalable servers and services, and mining large databases.
