Syntrex BDE Becomes Standard For Credit Card Transaction Data Exchange At Golden Retriever Systems
Market Wire, 20050229
Syntrex, a leading international developer of secure data exchange technology over public networks, announced today that Golden Retriever Systems, a subsidiary of Vital, and recognized as the leading developer of PC-based application systems in the US payment card processing industry, has completed a full implementation of Syntrex BDE)(TM) (business data exchange) for daily credit card transaction data exchange with its over 90 banking and retail clients.
Syntrex BDE combines file transfer, encryption, digital signatures, compression, tracking and logging capabilities to ensure that the Internet is the best channel for vital business file transfer and data exchange. Built in Java to be conversant across a variety of platforms, operating systems and applications, BDE's unique architecture and multiple interfaces make it easy to work with clients of all sizes and different levels of technical sophistication.
"We have successfully migrated our top 10 bank customers to BDE -- that means over 800 files a day that we are now exchanging directly from transaction data into our client server applications," said Ceasar Verdelli, chief operating officer, Golden Retriever Systems. "Based on the success and ease of integration we were able to achieve with these larger customers, we're looking forward to migrating our 70 plus banking and retail clients to BDE."
Syntrex BDE was chosen to replace Golden Retriever's previous data exchange solution, which was comprised of three separate products - FTP (file transfer protocol), security and compression. BDE not only replaced the three products with one, it was able to offer a more robust, secure, scalable and fault tolerant solution while delivering ease of integration.
"It used to take us six to nine weeks to begin exchanging data with new clients. Now it takes as little as one," added Mr. Verdelli. "We no longer require that our clients adopt proprietary technologies or change their infrastructure in any way - integration issues have virtually disappeared."
"We are excited but not at all surprised that Golden Retriever has recognized significant productivity gains and reduced customer integration time," commented Syntrex chief executive officer, Kenneth J. Benvenuto. "Acting on our belief that the Internet offers unprecedented reach and convenience, Syntrex has engineered BDE to provide absolutely reliable and secure file transfer and data exchange of mission critical information over the Internet," he added.
