Oracle(Nasdaq: ORCL) today announced that Oracle9i Database has been voted the top database server by Infoworld Magazine in their annual Readers' Choice Awards for 2002. More than 5,200 readers voted to give the award-winning Oracle9i Database 43 percent of the "Best Database" ballots. The results of the Readers' Choice Awards reveal which software and platform solutions users rely on to deliver return on investment for their businesses, as well as superior availabilty, scalability, and security. The first major update - Oracle9i Database Release 2 - was announced in June 2002, and includes new high availability, business intelligence and XML features as well as numerous performance and manageability improvements.
