TVWorldwide.com, a fast-growing web-based global Internet TV network and streaming video service provider, announced that it had been selected to webcast the 2002 3rd Annual "Streams of Fire" Federal Streaming Media Conference, live from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Md. on November 12 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM EST. The free webcast will feature keynotes and interviews with industry leaders present for the show and highlight the latest products, services, issues and news in the federal streaming sector. The Streams of Fire event, itself, is sponsored by RealNetworks.

Visitors to the live Streams of Fire webcast will be able to post questions to interviewees and participate in Q&A via e-mail, providing a fully interactive forum for sharing of information.

NIST Streaming Media Project Leader Jim Porterfield stated "We're excited to be able to offer the Streams of Fire as a live and archived webcast to provide access to the very top content creation experts, media analysts, speakers, and exhibitors in the federal streaming sector. We've selected TVWorldwide.com to webcast the event because of their vast expertise in government streaming media and major event webcasting." The staff at NIST has been webcasting internal events and activities for the past 6 years.

"We're pleased to facilitate national webcast participation in this year's Streams of Fire conference," commented Dave Gardy, Chairman and CEO of TVWorldwide.com. "This NIST event is well-regarded among industry professionals as the pre-eminent forum for issues affecting federal streaming video efforts and the technology that is stimulating rapid growth in this arena."

The event will be archived for viewing at www.tvworldwide.com and www.nist.gov/sof2002. Participants should have the free Real Video Player installed prior to the event and should log on by 9:00 AM EST on November 12 for live and live-to-tape coverage of the event through 3:30 PM EST.
