TheCoveredCall.com (www.thecoveredcall.com) is the only investment newsletter to post its monthly performance to the world. TheCoveredCall.com helps educate investors on the how to use the powerful, but easy-to-use, CANSLIM method of investing with a covered call twist.
What a month with exponential volatility sending stocks much lower. But the majority of our picks recovered because we used the CANSLIM strategy to pick them. 8 of 11 stocks were winners and you know the saying if your at least half right then you'll be successful at anything you do, especially picking stocks!
Our results cover the third Friday of the month, or option expiration. Check out October's results!

TheCoveredCall.com picks were a success in this volatile market only because we strictly adhere to the CANSLIM principle including the 8% sell rule.
Our biggest disappointment was Silicon Storage (NASDAQ: SSTI). The stock collapsed with the market and hasn't recovered, even after beating the Street in its most recent quarter. EMC (NYSE: EMC) shot up to new highs before correcting sharply with the market but then recovered nicely. Turnaround story PSFT dropped like a rock with the market but shot-up to a new 52 week high after blasting past analyst's Q3 estimates. But volatility or not covered calls saved the day for QLGC which generated a 12.3% profit on the Oct 100 calls and you get to keep the stock! QLGC's break even point drops to $83.87.
