ShopEaze.com, Inc., a leading e-commerce service provider for traditional retailers, has partnered with Foodland Super Market, Ltd., Hawaii's largest supermarket chain to create a complete online shopping solution. "Foodland to Go", Hawaii's first online shopping service by a grocery retailer, will be launched in December to Oahu residents.

Foodland has chosen the ShopEaze.com comprehensive solution to enable customers to buy online and pick up pre-bagged orders at their convenience. An express "Foodland to Go" parking area will be designated at each store, and groceries will be delivered to the customers' vehicles. In order to assure quality and superior service, Foodland's specially trained personal shoppers will hand select the customer's order.

"We chose ShopEaze.com because of its winning combination of retail experience, strong relationships with packaged goods manufacturers and excellent technology," said Jenai Sullivan Wall, President and CEO, at Foodland. "Our utmost goal is to better serve our loyal customers and we feel confident that ShopEaze.com will help us reach that objective."

ShopEaze.com is developing a proprietary Foodland-branded e-commerce site that mirrors the in-store shopping experience. The customer is offered more than 7,000 items to choose from online, along with new and useful features such as: weekly advertised savings, new item showcasing, local specialty recipes, and an ability to save current shopping lists for future use.

"Foodland is demonstrating leadership in the grocery retail industry by leveraging the Internet to meet the demands of its customers," said Preston Heffernan, President and Founder of ShopEaze.com. "We are truly excited about this partnership. 'Foodland to Go' solidifies their position as the premier grocery chain in Hawaii," he adds.

Foodland plans to deploy the online shopping service late this year at the Beretania store in Honolulu and roll out the rest of the stores by year end 2001.
