Essay Editing Service Accepted.com Introduces Online Service Catalog
Market Wire, 20050229
Accepted.com, the foremost application essay editing service, is introducing a novel catalog of services along with a fresh redesign of its Web site.
Although product catalogs are ubiquitous on the Web, service catalogs are a rarity because they are complex and inherently difficult to present in a user-friendly format. Accepted.com overcomes these difficulties by providing an informational catalog, which outlines the company's essay editing, MBA interview coaching, resume writing, and consulting services. Users can easily scan brief descriptions or seek detailed, in-depth information on each service.
"We want to make it easy for visitors to find and understand the services that best meet their needs," explains Accepted.com president Linda Abraham. "At the same time, we recognize that prospects will benefit from consulting an Accepted.com representative before actually making a purchase. We view our catalog - and our site -- as an informational resource and not an impersonal means of closing a sale. We want clients to sign up for the services best suited to them."
To help visitors use the extensive resources available at Accepted.com, the company has added a search function and streamlined overall site navigation.
Because of the company's phenomenal growth in recent years, Abraham realized she needed to enhance the Web site and add the service catalog. Since the site's last redesign in 1998, sales at the editing company have quadrupled and the site has more than tripled in size. Abraham explains, "Today our site has more than 240 pages of admissions resources, including tips, articles, the MBA Feedback Database, chat transcripts, newsletters, growing bookstore, and links pages. So, while we have given the site a brand new look, doing so was not our top priority. Our primary goal was to enable the site to handle the burgeoning traffic and growing demand for more services. The new navigational system and search feature make it easy for applicants to pinpoint what they want and need."
