ForeScout Technologies Secures $10 Million In New Funding
Market Wire, 20050229
ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of intrusion prevention solutions that accurately identify and stop network attacks -- even those as yet unknown by the security community, today announced it has raised $10 million in Series C financing, bringing total funding for the company to $24 million. This round of funding was led by Meritech Capital, a new ForeScout investor that specializes in late-stage venture capital financing of companies that have proven technology, market-tested business models and seasoned management teams. Existing investors Accel Partners and Pitango Venture Capital also participated.
"ForeScout has delivered unmatched security technology that neutralizes network attacks in real time, with zero false positives and without the time consuming post attack analysis required by so many other security solutions," said Paul Madera, managing partner at Meritech Capital. "The management team's continued focus on technical innovation and leadership has enabled ForeScout to ship the ActiveScout(TM) intrusion prevention product that not only works to stop attacks, but which is based on a technology that cannot be easily duplicated."
As part of Meritech Capital's investment, Madera has been appointed as an observer to ForeScout's board of directors. ForeScout's board of directors is represented by the following company founders, leading venture capitalists and security industry veterans: Doron Shikmoni, co-founder of ForeScout Technologies; Hezy Yeshurun, co-founder and executive chairman of the board at ForeScout Technologies; Rami Kalish, managing director and founder at Pitango Venture Capital; Theresia Gouw Ranzetta, general partner at Accel Partners; Shlomo Kramer, CEO of WebCohort Technologies, Inc. and co-founder of Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.; and Tom McNeight, president and CEO of GuardedNet, and a founding vice president at Internet Security Systems.
"We have a unique product backed by strong research and development, marketing and sales teams, and the capital to become a leader in intrusion prevention solutions that actually prevent attacks of all types -- even deadly unknown attacks. It was great to see that this round of funding was over-subscribed -- attesting to the value that investors see in our company and product," said Prof. Hezy Yeshurun, executive chairman and co-founder of ForeScout Technologies, Inc.
