VeriFone Value-added Partners to Showcase Profit-making Solutions in Las Vegas and Drive ISOs Toward the Daytona 500
Market Wire, 20050229
VeriFone Inc., the worldwide leader in electronic payment solutions, today announced that sixteen members of its Value-added Partner Program (VAP) will showcase their solutions in the VeriFone Partner Pavilion at the Electronic Transactions Association Meeting and Exposition being held April 7-10 in Las Vegas, NV. The industry is ready to shift into high gear, and in an effort to promote the power of its value-add initiative, VeriFone and its partners will hold a drawing for a chance to win a trip to the 2004 Daytona 500 NASCAR race.
"VeriFone is committed to the advancement of value-added applications at the point of sale, and the Omni 3750 is the only terminal specifically designed from the ground-up for the multi-app generation," said Bill Atkinson, senior vice president of business development, VeriFone. "The ability to easily and securely support multiple applications on one device optimizes the point of sale for merchants and gives ISOs a unique selling proposition, allowing them to improve merchant retention and generate new revenue streams."
The VeriFone Partner Pavilion will feature value-added solutions from the following providers:
Age Verification Legal Age Security Software, Inc. Check Authorization and Conversion E-Chex TeleCheck Gift and Loyalty Ernex Marketing Technologies Neos Merchant Solutions Stored Value Systems TenderCard ValuLink Valutec Prepaid Services Everything Prepaid EWI Prepaid Services i2c PRE Solutions POS Convergence Atrana Solutions Return Authorization and Fraud Detection The Return Exchange Time and Attendance Cignify
Electronic check conversion has proven to be a valuable service for merchants, and provides ISOs with an opportunity to sell advanced payment processing services along with check imaging peripherals.
Loyalty and gift card applications that enhance the consumer's shopping experience, and provide merchants with a means of identifying and rewarding valuable customers, are essential to helping payment services providers improve merchant retention in today's competitive business environment.
The pre-paid card market continues to grow for traditional and non-traditional retail merchants seeking to extend value and convenience to their patrons. Pre-paid activation and reload applications are an important source of revenue for acquirers and ISO's interested in expanding their total services offering at the point of sale.
New applications are also designed to improve operations. Electronic Age Verification helps merchants control liquor and tobacco sales to minors. Return authorization and fraud detection systems help merchants control and track fraudulent consumer returns. Time and attendance tracking allows clerks to "punch in" using a POS terminal and then uploads the information for centralized payroll processing services.
VeriFone's Omni 3750 is the only terminal available on the market that was developed to meet the specific needs of the changing payment landscape. The all-in-one terminal features a powerful 32-bit processor, hardware and software application separation, Triple DES (3DES) PIN security, up to 4MB of memory for value-added applications, and an array of interchangeable communications modules supporting 2400bps, 14.4Kbps, Ethernet or ISDN technologies. It has now been certified by all of the leading U.S. processors, supports solutions from 16 value-added application providers, and is shipping to merchants through existing acquirer and ISO channels.
