Artist Line-Up Announced For Third Annual Atlantis Music Conference

Today, the third annual Atlantis Music Conference, scheduled for August 9-12, announced the artist line up for over 200 showcase slots. Artists were selected to showcase after submitting demos to the listening committee comprised of more than 30 professionals in all walks of the music industry. Located in the Little Five Points/Virginia Highlands/Downtown/Midtown/East Atlanta areas of Atlanta, artists will once again perform at numerous venues including; Variety Playhouse, the Tabernacle, the Cotton Club, Dark Horse Tavern, The Battery Bar, 9 Lives Saloon, Karma, The Star Bar, Studio Central, Echo Lounge and more to be announced. Kicking off Atlantis, the third annual golf tournament will see industry executives going head-to-head with a portion of the proceeds donated to the American Association of Adapted Sports Programs. After a day of golf, the 8th Annual Atlanta Local Music Awards teams up with Atlantis for the first time ever. Showing appreciation and acknowledgement to those who participate in the local music scene, the ALMA's has become one of the most anticipated events of the year. In the days to follow, catch up on the latest issues in the music industry during three days of informational panels. Listen as key industry players discuss their views in a crossfire style format. Finally, each night see a sampling of over 200 performers at ten+ of the coolest venues in Atlanta. New this year, Atlantis has expanded with the addition of an urban symposium featuring 2 full days of panels, which will dive deeper into the issues and business of the urban music industry along with showcasing up-and-coming artists.

Since the 1998 conference more than 20 bands have been signed including; Marvelous 3 (Elektra), Billionaire (London), Peter Searcy (Time Bomb/Arista), Lackey (Capital), Sol (Jive) and Double Drive (MCA).
