Market Wire, 20050229

EMusic.com Inc. (Nasdaq: EMUS), the Internet's leading seller of downloadable music today announced the exclusive digital availability of select music from multi-platinum-selling artists Bush and Beck. Music fans are now able to sample, purchase and download music from three of Bush's Billboard chart-topping albums -- as well as a rare, out-of-print Beck single -- in the MP3 format for 99 cents per song, or $8.99 for an entire downloadable album.

Bush on EMusic.com

Through an exclusive digital distribution agreement with leading indie label Trauma Records, EMusic.com is now offering downloadable music from Bush's Sixteen Stone, Razorblade Suitcase and Deconstructed albums -- including such memorable hits as "Everything Zen", "Little Things", "Comedown", "Glycerine", "Swallowed" and "Mouth".

Also available for download from EMusic.com are two new songs from the top-selling British rock band's current album, The Science of Things: the smash single "The Chemicals Between Us" is available for purchase for 99 cents, and the track "Spacetravel" is available as a free promotional download. In the future, EMusic.com and Trauma plan to release additional commercial singles from The Science of Things in MP3.

About Trauma

Formed in 1994, Trauma Records has engineered remarkable success in just five years, building a powerhouse independent label that has sold over 26 million albums worldwide. The story begins with BUSH, Trauma's first multi-platinum artist. Trauma followed with the smash hit album Tragic Kingdom by NO DOUBT, which camped out at number one for over a month on the Billboard Album chart and went on to huge international success. The company has continued its hit-making strategy with the 1999 break-through rockers THE FLYS, who are currently approaching gold status on the strength of their hit single "Got You (Where I Want You)" and achieved number one on the Billboard New Alternative chart. BREE SHARP's new album A Cheap and Evil Girl has been finding massive media interest with her single "David Duchovny." Other exciting and talented artists on the Trauma roster include JACT, NOOGIE and THE AMERICAN GIRLS.

Beck & Bong Load on EMusic.com

EMusic.com has also signed an exclusive digital distribution agreement with Bong Load Custom Records, a top independent rock label based in Los Angeles, California. Through this deal, EMusic.com will offer portions of the Bong Load catalog for download, including music from Kyuss, Fu Manchu, Grimace, The Obsessed, Lutefisk, Quinine, Vitamade, Crutch, Andy Kaulkin, Sexy Death Soda, Dieselhed, Famous Monsters, Fatso Jetson, Poolside and Fireball Ministry.

This Bong Load catalog also features a rare out-of-print track from Beck, "Steve Threw Up". Recorded and produced by Bong Load co-founders Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf, this pop-folk song was originally released in 1994, shortly before "Loser" made Beck a worldwide alternative icon.
