American Airlines Vacations Kicks Off Spring/Summer Super Shopping Spree Promotion For Travel Agents

American Airlines Vacations' popular Super Shopping Spree promotion for travel agents is back, and it's bigger and better than ever.

The Super Shopping Spree -- designed to provide agents with big rewards for booking American Airlines Vacations tours through SABRE, Worldspan, AMADEUS, Dial-Up Disk or Internet -- runs through July 31.

"We want to give agents extra incentive to book via automation because it's the most effective way to do business," said Dan Westbrook, president of American Airlines Vacations. "Not only do agents earn a greater commission, but automation is a great time saver and provides agents with complete control of the customer's record."

Agents can book any American Airlines Vacations package to qualify for the prizes, and they earn one American Airlines Vacations dollar for each dollar booked. Additionally this year, agents earn 2,000 American Airlines Vacations bonus dollars per booking each time an American Airlines' credit card is used for payment.

Agents also receive 1,000 AAV bonus dollars each time they book a hotel participating in the Shopping Spree promotion. As an example, when an agent books a "Puerto Rico is Fun" package, not only does the agent receive 1000 AAV bonus dollars, but their client receives extras such as 5th night free, 3,000 AADVANTAGE bonus miles, oceanview room upgrade (upon availability), savings card and a "Puerto Rico Summer Events" calendar.

Prizes for travel agents include domestic and international American Airlines tickets, and over 1,500 hotel packages, including properties operated by Sandals Resorts, Starwood Resorts, Aston Resorts and Almond Beach Resorts.
